The Masada Marathon, to be held on July 27 in the Kursaal Auditorium, during the 48th Heineken Jazz Festival, will be the only one that will take place in Europe in 2013 and the twelve groups that will be playing together with John Zorn have been released.
The Masada Marathon will start at 6 pm and its expected duration is between 5 and 6 hours. Tickets will go on sale, along with the rest of the Festival in March.
A Masada Marathon consists of 12 successive groups playing, all belonging to Tzadik, the record company founded by John Zorn, one of the key musicians in contemporary jazz.
